Lakme Fashion Week auditions in Bengaluru city - Ep 108 - covered by BangaloreBengaluru

Who does not love fashion?. At some point in your life one would have though "does that look good on me?". Well that covers some part of fashion, right? :D.

The moment I heard that I am going to cover the LFW winter festival 2014 auditions that are being held for the first time here in Bengaluru city, I was overjoyed :D. The moment finally comes and rest assured it was much more than I had anticipated. Everyone was at their A game, I never knew Bengaluru had so many pretty faces and not to forget healthy too :).

The ramp walk was all set when I reached the location, which was the Lakme Salon in 1MG mall.

Excitement was in the air, all the girls were ready to show the judges that they can do it.

Finally the ramp walk was over, I have to say the judges did have a hard time deciding whom to pick.

While the judges where going over their notes, the models where eagerly waiting for the results but did their best not to show it :D.
They spent some time posing for me :D.

I also happened to met a Model Groomer who accompained his models and was guiding them the entire time, reminding the girls what to do :).

The judges call upon a few selected girls to go over and narrow the pickings down.

It finally ended, and these girls emerged to be the new faces of the Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festival 2014 from Bengaluru city.

MOVENPICK Icecream Boutique lands in Bengaluru city - by BangaloreBengaluru

This statement given by Dennis, made me want to try each flavor they had :).

I had a unique tasting as it was hosted for bloggers even before the launch party.

I have to admit that there is some excitement in trying something before anyone else has.

About

Founded in 1948, it started as a restaurant with a vision of serving only the best. Now "Movenpick" is a well known brand worldwide. The man who started it all, had an interesting philosophy - “We are not doing anything extraordinary, we are just doing simple things in an extraordinary way”. The ice-creams that they made at the restaurant were extraordinary to the extent that in the 1960s they got their own commercial production.

Now this product is available in over 40 countries and has more than 300 boutiques worldwide, with INDIA having three. They are in Chennai, Delhi and now in Bengaluru.

The brand follows three pillars to maintain what they stand for:-

1. Keep up to its Swiss perfection, meaning its all made in the Switzerland Movenpick factory.

2. Use the best 100% natural ingredient.

3. Maintain the passion for gastronomy.

They don’t use anything synthetic, artificial or added color.

The ice cream is made by the chef and for the chefs.

This is the reason why it’s the best and the most expensive ice cream in the world.

Nestled in the happening locales of Lavelle Road, one can now have this Swiss ice cream while relaxing in their blissful ambiance of the boutique.

Gourmet Addiction

Piccolo hot chocolate served with three tasting scoops of ice cream.

Ice coffee

Peach Melba

Two scoops of vanilla ice cream, placed on poached peaches, drizzled with raspberry sauce, garnished with whipped cream and topped with almond flakes.

Raspberry sparkling sorbet

Raspberry sorbet, with rich berry sauce and sparkling mineral water.

Making this a tall, 99% fat free, tangy drink.

Waffle obsession

Freshly baked, hot Belgian waffles served with ice creams, drizzled with chocolate sauce and sprinkled with chocolate shavings.

I recommend you don't miss the freshly made waffles.

Try your favorite ice cream in a cone. The cone is blended with almond giving it a different tone of flavor. I was told that they their cones are so popular that sometimes people just buy the cones.

As for the ice cream, among their many chillingly refreshing flavors, I lean towards the chocolate and the raspberry :D.
