review of "OLIVE BODY BUTTER" from The Body Shop

as you can see I have used half of it already :-))

ACCORDING TO THE COMPANY :

OLIVE BODY BUTTER is
For Normal to Dry Skin.
With 24 hour moisturisation.

An intensive, creamy all-over body moisturiser. It absorbs into the skin easily,
helping to condition, soften and smooth the skin and prevent dryness.
Containing Community Trade organic olive oil

Organic olive oil - Helps to condition the skin.

Shea butter - Moisturises and helps soften the skin.

Cocoa butter - Is an excellent moisturiser that melts at body temperature, leaving the skin feeling soft and silky smooth. Olive Oil The moisturizing olive oil in our products comes from an area in Italy that has produced olives since the middle ages.
The Nuovo Cilento Co-operative formed as a result of people abandoning the land to seek work elsewhere. In a remarkable story of success over adversity, the co-operative has gone from strength to strength, cutting out the middle-man to sell their organically produced olive oil directly, maximizing their profit and so preserving their traditional way of life.
Every product you buy containing Community Traded olive oil further helps the community and local environment.

Cocoa Beans For centuries the women of Ghana have used cocoa butter to moisturise and cool their skin in the African heat. Since 1995, The Body Shop has been buying cocoa beans from the Kuapa Kokoo company in Ghana, a fair trade co-operative with over 30,000 small-scale farmers. The money made by the co-operative enables the development of community projects such as schools and village wells in addition to providing the farmers with income to support their families.

review of SHEA BODY BUTTER from The Body Shop

Follow my blog with bloglovin

ACCORDING TO THE COMPANY:
Community Trade shea butter has antioxidant vitamins like A and E to help protect and nourish skin...
Community Trade cocoa butter is an excellent moisturizer that melts at body temperature, leaving skin soft and silky smooth...
Best suited for dry skin...

ACCORDING TO ME:
My legs get dry very fast due to which I have a bit of scales on my skin... Using this butter I have noticed that my skin stays soft for a long time and I don't feel my legs itchy... I apply this to my exposed skin usually when I'm indoors otherwise just for the skin that is covered for that particular day...
The smell is mild and pleasant...
Its consistency is of soft butter kind only, true to its name... A dollop is enough for my lower leg, it spreads evenly and does take a little time to absorb...
After it’s absorbed my skin actually feels smooth but it did not help with my scales...

DIRECTION FOR USE:
Best to apply on needed area right after taking bath... Pat skin dry and apply shea body butter, wait for a while like 5 minutes for the butter to get absorbed by skin...

COMPOSITION:
aqua
butyrospermum parkii
cyclomethi
theobroma cacao
glyceryl
peg-100 stearate
cetearyl alcohol
cera alba
caramel
eugenol

PACK SIZE:
200ml or 6.9oz or 196g
Rs. 745 /- (inclusive of all taxes)
Comes packed in a nice light biscuit color plastic container...
To bad they don't a system like "Lush" where they take the containers back and in return give something like a face pack, etc..
WHERE DID I GET IT FROM:
I got mine form "THE BODY SHOP" situated in Jaynagar

WILL I BUY IT AGAIN:
Hmmmm.... Not sure... I did keep my skin soft but as I said it did no help for the scales that I have due to dry skin....

If any of you have used this let me know your views.. I hope the info I gave was helpful... If I have missed out on any info that you need please let me know and I’ll try to put that also up... I would really like your feed back, so just leave them in the comments section...

review of " LACTO CALAMINE" lotion

Is a lotion used on face mostly, its non - greasy, it has a light pink colour.. For people with dark skin I would advise them to use it indoor cos it makes the face appear a bit whitest..
It comes in 2 kinds

LACTO CALAMINE CLASSIC SKINSURANCE
FOR OILY TO NORMAL SKIN (I'm using this)&
LACTO CALAMINE ALOVERA MOISTURISER

It's used to obtain even skin tone, clearer looking skin, rids the skin a bit from oil according to me....According to the product it should give you nourishment, acne & oil control, dead skin removal and protection... It's been in market for a long time... They don't advertise & yet people know about the product it sells by word of mouth..

Before using its better to shake the bottle well and then apply on face.... Can use any amount of times... Best is to re apply after washing face... As for me i see the best results when i apply the lotion before sleeping...

Ingredients are
aqua, zinc carbonate, emulsifiers, preservative's, perfumes (mild scent) & permitted colours..
light kaolin - coagulate (To cause a liquid to change into a curdlike or semisolid
state)

Castor oil - increases circulation and heals the tissues
glycerin - acts as humectant (a substance that promotes retention of moisture)
zinc oxide - skin protecting and anti-microbial

LACTO CALAMINE cost's Rs.72 for 120ml per bottle

You can get it @ any pharmacy store, that's where i get mine... If your staying abroad where its not available easily just scout the net and by it on-line.. I'm using my second bottle now and am happy with the results... Do make sure to do a sample test on your skin before using it... I had no side effects or any reactions but I always say no harm in being to sure...
