movie promo : Animation movie "Mighty Raju Rio Calling"

“Mighty Raju” is a popular TV movie series on Pogo India TV. As its ratings were so good, the creators [Green Gold Animation Pvt.Ltd] of India’s favorite kids’ character Chhota Bheem scheduled to release their third theatrical movie titled “Mighty Raju Rio Calling” in mid May 2014. This is a 2D Animated Film based in Rio De Janeiro, and its a blend of Sports, Action & Superhero Masala. This movie is not just for the kids, but for all ages who have fantasies and dreams to be heroic and experience the thrill of adventure.

Extensive research was done in Rio de Janeiro and most of the music recordings were done there to capture the sights and sounds. Sunidhi Chauhan has sung the title song for the film. The audio has 9 tracks, which includes 1 track from the TV series. The tagline of the film is ‘Soccer, Samba and Samosas’ and the story is based on soccer and set in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Being released in Hindi at about 300 screens across India.

About the movie 

Mighty Raju, is a four year old kid and has super powers. He travels to Rio, Brazil as his father Swamy has been given a special assignment by the government of India. 

Raju is very skeptical and feels that he will miss all his friends. Soon he begins to like Rio and joins a school over there, but gets bullied by Daniel at the school and gets teased that he doesn’t know anything about or how to play football. 

Raju meets Maria and befriends her. He comes to know that she is the daughter of the Don of Rio- Don Pedro.

Raju begins to experience strange phenomenon and keeps losing his super powers for short durations of time. Meanwhile, his dad is trying to solve the puzzle of banks in Rio being robbed by the means of computers.

Eventually, Mighty Raju learns to play football and his school team reaches the final of the inter-school tournament. In this film all his wits and powers are put to the test in a pulse-racing face-off against nasty soccer rivals, gun-toting Mafia dons and deadly Capoeira fighters, all set out to strike him down.

Mighty Raju today has become a much loved character for children on television. Moby (Raju’s Pet), Cheeky (Raju’s Robot), Julie, Swamy( Raju’s  Father), Sandhya (Raju’sMother),  Karati (Evil Scientist) who are the key characters of Mighty Raju TV movies will feature alongside additional characters such as Daniel, Lucas, Maria and Don Pedro in the film.

Mighty Raju was very busy promoting his film "Rio Calling" in Bengaluru city. The kids had a lot of fun playing the games and wining loads of prizes. They were very excited to meet Mighty Raju in person and got a change to take pictures along with him.

movie review : Gravity

Cast:
Sandra Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone who is a a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission
George Clooney plays Matt Kowalsky who is a veteran astronaut

The plot:
Dr. Ryan Stone is a Mission Specialist who is a very brilliant medical engineer and is on her very first shuttle mission to attach a high-tech new scanning device to the Hubble telescope on the Space Shuttle Explorer after going through a six months special Nasa training. Accompanied by veteran astronaut Matt Kowalski, who is commanding his final expedition.

During their spacewalk to service the Hubble Space Telescope they get info from Mission Control that a Russian missile was used to  strike a satellite and that it has caused a continuous chain reaction of cloud space debris. Of-course Mission control orders that the mission be aborted, the shuttle gets destroyed by debris.
Dr. Stone gets detached from the shuttle and starts to wander further into space. She starts to panic, making her use up more oxygen in her tank. Very soon Kowalsky finds her and they make their way back to the space shuttle, now Dr. Stone and Kowalsky are completely alone and they are tethered to nothing but each other.

They have lost contact with Earth and with it any chance for a rescue mission. Still the astronauts continue to transmit, hoping that the Mission Control can still hear them.

Their only way home is to go further out into the terrifying space and reach the Chinese shuttle and use their escape pod to reach home..





My review:
The majority part of the film is about just two astronauts now would think it will be a drab but it has been done extremely well..
Something else I liked was even though it is a space movie it's not a si-fi nor future kind of plot..
The main story is sooo simple, what will happen to a first time astronaut when they get detached from the space craft and end up being the only survivor..
Extraordinary visuals making it seem so life like..
Must watch movie for anyone who loves or does not love space, time just flew by seeing this movie..


I stuff that I loved :
Dialogue's
I need you to stop staring and tethered
I crashed the simulator every single time

Scene's
Movie has sub titles
When she removes her space suit and just floats with tears just floating away from her face
During the fire the flames are floating
Uses fire extinguisher to reach the Chinese shuttle
Not able to the buttons as they are in chinese so Sandra does eenie meenie mini moe to pick a button
When the capsule enters the Earth, its engulfed if flames

movie review : The Conjuring

My spoiler-filled review :

The story goes like this..
The opening scene is set in 1970's, some people are talking about a possessed doll and seeking help from paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, the investigators are very qualified in their field, they are devoted Catholics and a bit romantic in nature as they believe they are together for a reason which is paranormal.

The investigators have a shrine in their house which stores all the artifacts that were connected to the paranormal that they acquired during their work and a priest blesses the room once a month to make sure that the evil spirits stay intact. They travel to different locations educating people by giving seminars and conducting investigations in different places..

Far off is a secluded farmhouse in an isolated area in Rhode Island, the Perron family along with their dog move into a house which they acquired from a bank sale. The family comprising of 5 girls are in full energy setting up the place. Right away strange events begin to happen to them starting with The dog refusing to enter the house and is found dead by the youngest daughter later the next day with reasons not shown. All the clock stop working at 3:07am. Mrs Perron wakes up with bruises on her body and thinks it because of iron deficiency. Then they start to show more intense paranormal events like the kids feet getting pulled while they are asleep, photo frames falling from where they are hung, etc..

While playing a game called "hide and clap" the mother comes in contact with a spirit. During the night while figuring out the sounds she gets locked up in the basement along with the spirit and during this part her oldest daughter is attacked by the ghost. As the days passed on the attacks become increasingly violent and physical. They presumed the house was haunted and seek the investigators help.

From investigators the Perrons realize that the house was not but they themself's are the victims. The dark spirits had latched itself onto them. The investigators try to figure out what the spirit wants and helps the family putting themselves at harm.






My review:
This movie's main marketing is that its a real life story. Don't know if its a marketing trick or not but after you see
'The Conjuring' you will have a sleepless night or two.

Must watch it at least once in the theater to get the full effect of the sound.






I stuff that I loved :
Starting only it shows that this is a horror based movie, no long suspense
Shows that the dog refuses to enter the house which has the spirit
When asleep the kids leg is pulled almost every night
When the mother gets locked in the basement by a spirit
no demon voice was used during the exorcism (it's old school) of the character, she was covered up with a sheet and tied up to a chair
Cast played by the Warren and Perron family was very natural and not over board
Soundtrack of the movie called " She saw something"

movie review : NOW YOU SEE ME

My spoiler-filled review :

Upon seeing this movie I felt it was a modern version of robin hood with a fresh twist. The heist's are done using "magic".



The story goes like this..
Four performers ranging from street artist to stage personals are picked up by a mysterious person in a hooded jacket.

The performers are
Jesse Eisenberg who is a hand wizard and a bit of a control freak.
Isla Fisher who was Eisenberg's assistant, and now an escape artist.
Woody Harrelson is an expert hypnotist, and Dave Franco is the talented street magician.

When they all finally meet up they realize that they have been called by a secret magic group and to get into the group they have to follow some plans put forth by the group.
Soon with the help of an investor they form a magic team called "The Four Horsemen".

They perform their 1st magic-show in Las Vegas and their show stopper routine was a live heist that involved robbing a bank which was in Paris by "teleporting" a man from the audience, then rewarding the crowd with the stolen euro notes.
The crowd went wild as expected :).

As a bank was robbed the police enter the script for investigation purpose.
Mark Ruffalo plays the hard core FBI agent and has been paired with French Interpol agent played by Melanie Laurent.

During the investigation the police come upon an information that the Horsemen's show was recorded by Morgan Freeman who was a magician before but plays as a host to a reality TV show that exposes all the magicians secrets.
He shows Mark Ruffalo how the Paris heist was achieved according to his theory.

Now what comes is for the police to figure out what the magicians next trick is, who is in charge and why they are doing it.





So this is all the story that I am going to say. If you liked it so far then I suggest you catch the movie :).





I stuff that I loved :
The magic show in the intro by Jesse Eisenberg & Isla Fisher.
The graphics shown in the room were all magicians were called.
The way Dave Franco kind of fought while escaping from Mark Ruffalo.
The last magic act by the Horsemen.

movie review : Oblivion

The story goes like this..
Story takes place in the future. The Earth is not a place for humans anymore it has evolved beyond recognition. Their was an invasion and the human race won the war but the Earth suffered the impact during the war as the moon got destroyed. Since their is no moon all things went hell in Earth. Now 60 years have gone by since the attack, all the survivors are residing in lunar colony in one of Saturn's moon called the Titan. Only two people are left on the Earth as care takers (Jack and Victoria, their memory of before the war is wiped for security reasons) so that the Scavengers (a band of savage aliens) do not inherit the planet during an on going operation to extract vital resources (water,etc) which is being carried out for fusion energy to keep the human race alive on Titan. The care takers live in a real modern techno luxury and are just a few weeks shy from joining the survivour's in Titan. Jack serves as a security repairmen has many questions and keeps getting these dream he wants the answers for and on the other hand his patner Victoria (also his lover) is the communications officer who monitors the situation from their high-altitude home, her character is distant and longing for something beyond Earth, always follows the commanders (Sally) orders.

But things get complicated when they see something fall from the sky and he winds up rescuing a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. When ever he see's the stranger he gets flashes of his dreams and she is in it. Now Jack forces for the answers even more and discovers shocking truths. He does heroic acts which he never though he was capable of. He battles to save mankind and wins.




Stuff that I loved :
The amazing visuals of the Earth. How the monuments in Washington, D.C. are left in ruins and the huge sky scrappers that were apartments/offices now act as waterfalls which are like deep canyons.
Jack and Victoria's living quarter which is like a thousand feet above the ground, it has a breathtaking sky view.
