review of "OSIS FLATLINER " heat protectant for the hair

OSIS FLATLINER is manufactured by Schwarzkopf company which is German.. This is a thermal heat protectant for hair which is designed to withstand 200C deg... Upon using this protectant I have noticed that it doesn't leave my hair with that stiff, crispy texture, oily, sticky, but it does tangle up my hair before I'm done with straightening my hair... This also doesn't weigh my hair down (I totally hate weighing down as it makes hair look flat), holds my hair straight up to 3 days which is not a bad deal (but I would still like something that would last atleast for 5 days or so)... This product basically protects the hair from the external heat that its getting bombarded with like hair dryer's / straightners / rollers / etc... If we continue to use such heat on our hair they in due course start dying as they are being ripped of their natural oils.. I wash my hair and let it air dry completely, then I section my hair and spray the sectioned hair... Wait for it to dry which takes like 2 minutes (I do some paper / house work while I wait) then I straightenen.. I then repeat the process till I'm done.. Careful while spraying, if any gets into your eye wash away instantently... This contains
AQUA (WATER)

ALCOHOL DENAT

VP/VA COPOLYMER

HYDROLYZED SILK

LAURDIMONIUM HYDROXYPROPYL HYDROLYZED WHEAT PROTEIN
CETRI MONIUMCHLORIDE
PHOSPHORIC ACID
Smell's kinda strange... But you only smell it coming out of the bottle, it doesnt really make your hair smell...

Flatliner comes in an aluminium bottle with spray application and can be set in open or close position, so your spray doesn't leak while travelling...

You can buy this in stores that sell beauty products to salon's, in big / Schwarzkopf salon's....I bought mine from Jain Brothers which is situated near Richmond circle very close to Baldwin Girl's High School.. I have just emptied my 1st bottle and have to 1 soon...

For 200ml it costed me Rs. 625/- ...

You can visit the website for further details

review of " LACTO CALAMINE" lotion

Is a lotion used on face mostly, its non - greasy, it has a light pink colour.. For people with dark skin I would advise them to use it indoor cos it makes the face appear a bit whitest..
It comes in 2 kinds

LACTO CALAMINE CLASSIC SKINSURANCE
FOR OILY TO NORMAL SKIN (I'm using this)&
LACTO CALAMINE ALOVERA MOISTURISER

It's used to obtain even skin tone, clearer looking skin, rids the skin a bit from oil according to me....According to the product it should give you nourishment, acne & oil control, dead skin removal and protection... It's been in market for a long time... They don't advertise & yet people know about the product it sells by word of mouth..

Before using its better to shake the bottle well and then apply on face.... Can use any amount of times... Best is to re apply after washing face... As for me i see the best results when i apply the lotion before sleeping...

Ingredients are
aqua, zinc carbonate, emulsifiers, preservative's, perfumes (mild scent) & permitted colours..
light kaolin - coagulate (To cause a liquid to change into a curdlike or semisolid
state)

Castor oil - increases circulation and heals the tissues
glycerin - acts as humectant (a substance that promotes retention of moisture)
zinc oxide - skin protecting and anti-microbial

LACTO CALAMINE cost's Rs.72 for 120ml per bottle

You can get it @ any pharmacy store, that's where i get mine... If your staying abroad where its not available easily just scout the net and by it on-line.. I'm using my second bottle now and am happy with the results... Do make sure to do a sample test on your skin before using it... I had no side effects or any reactions but I always say no harm in being to sure...

review of "THEKARAJA COCONUT OIL" used for hair

THEKARAJA COCONUT OIL is an Ayurveda medicinal product for all hair related problems.... Used to control hair fall, dandruff.... Do not confuse this for a body massage oil :-) ....
You must have heard from many or seen on TV that one has to heat the oil and then apply on scalp to gain the maximum benefits of the product well that's true but what many don't know is that the benefits of product can be destroyed by over heating the oil...

The best way to use it is to apply the oil onto scalp of head and then to the hair... Massage well.... Now we take a towel and soak it in hot water, squeeze out excess water and wrap the hot towel around your head, keep it on till you feel the warmth and repeat the process for about half hour... Now let your scalp cool down so you wait for another half hour.... Now you are ready to take a head bath....
This oil works best when you use it everyday... I used it for 1 month continuously and saw a change in my hair fall / dandruff... Its natural if 100 strands of hair fall... I had more than that but now its reducing... After using it for a month and on all days of the week, I could reduce the usage to just 6 days of the week for the next month and 5days of the week on the next month and so on. .. Like so on every month go on reducing the usage...
Usually not more than twice a week is needed to conditioner hair with oil... Effects vary from people to people you have to be patient to experience the benefits....

The oil contains thekaraja rasa , kera taila etc and prepared in coconut oil... Check to see if it reacts to your skin by doing a sample test... Usually Ayurveda products don't affect people but still no harm in doing a check.. Smell of the oil is not to strong but its not that kind of smell that you can sport around so very important to wash hair well otherwise you'll have an oily hair and the smell will linger...

The oil is 79rs ... Weighs 200ml .. Its packed in a plastic bottle (don't forget to recycle your bottle after its empty) ...

Its available in all Ayurveda stores... I got mine at OJAS ...
Its manufactured in Coimbatore and sold in Ojas if you want to buy it online the site is

REVIEW OF DOVE HAIR FALL THERAPY COMBING SERUM

DOVE HAIR FALL THERAPY COMBING SERUM is a beauty product which is used on one's hair to combat frizzes reduce the hair from getting tangled / prevent breakage, friction and also give the hair a smooth finish...
Yes it does all this but i want something that will also make my hair smooth and soft...

This can be used easily... After washing my hair i towel dry my hair and then apply a generous amount... About 4 pumps of the serum is sufficient... its always good to apply in sections...If you apply to much it tends to look oily and makes the hair flat since you have applied the product more... You can use this after every time you wash your hair...

This is a light weight serum, has a very pleasant smell which i am not able to pin point to what it resembles..

It weighs 40ml, MRP Rs. 250...

Its available in any pharmacy or beauty shop...

I got mine in my local pharmacy about a year ago...

My hunt for a hair serum is still on...

If any of you have used this let me know your views... If i have missed out on any info that you need please let me know and ill try to put that also up...

I have bought this product with my own money and in no way I'm affiliated with this company. I'm not paid to do this blog and the review is based on my honest unbiased opinion

REVIEW OF LUSH PRODUCT CALLED OCEAN SALT

"OCEAN SALT" is a facial/cleanser scrub.. This is only used on the face.. The package says its used for removing dead skin & gives a complexion that glows..

As soon as i opened the pot i saw a nice blue colour, but the colour is not going to remove the dead skin is it... Upon ignoring the colour I noticed the salt content with the paste, they are not granulated equally at all.... The salt was also kind of separated from the paste so i had to mix it first... Then i applied it on my face {the bigger salt particles kept falling down} & i just instantaneously remembered my friends cat... I'm doing this comparing because my friends cat used to always scratch every1 and on applying the scrub to my face was like having scratch feeling and on top of it since my face skin got scratched it started to burn due to the presence of lime in the scrub... I just washed it of immediately... Yes my skin did feel softer later but at what cost...

Using this is no way different from other scrubs... 1st damped skin and then apply quantity needed for face and massage the scrub on skin {excluding the eyes} in clock/anti clock direction.. face needs to be scrubbed once in a week..

Lime, coconut, grapefruit, sea salt are all mixed together in stimulator to create this scrub.. when i smell the product i kind of get a citrus smell..

The product code of this is 232, weight is 120g, costs rs.860 .. It comes in a smaller pot container..

As i have mentioned in my earlier blog you can get the product in any of the store locations at your place... if you have already bought before and wanna buy another but you just don't have the time then you can mail order..

The store from which i bought, is located in FORUM MALL {Koramangala}..
I got it on 4/2/10/...

I'm sooo not happy with this product... I spent almost 900 rs and its just not living up to its level and now I'm stuck with it.. My hunt for a facial scrub continues...

I HAVE BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT WITH MY OWN MONEY AND IN NO WAY AM I AFFILIATED WITH THIS COMPANY .. I'M NOT PAID TO DO THIS BLOG.. AND THE REVIEW IS BASED ON MY HONEST UNBIASED OPINION..

REVIEW OF A LUSH PRODUCT CALLED JASMIN & HENNA FLUFF - EAZE

This is a pre shampoo hair moisturising treatment used on hair that has been subjected to heating products (like curling/straightening), bad weather, etc.. does not help for hair fall, dandruff..
I have started straightening my hair once a week... i do use a heat protector but the prob was that my hair tips started becoming like dry straw kind... what ever protector you use that's available in the market the tips tend to not agree with them... so when i came across this LUSH product i though ill give it a try... this hair moisturiser made my hair really soft, shiny and my hair tips are really healthy looking & don't look like straws...
Using this is really easy... its paste kind and its not too runny can easily apply with bare hands... before washing hair just pile generously on to hair (not on scalp), leave for 20 or 30 Min's.... trust me you'll know when its enough... shampoo off and follow what ever you do normally... this treatment should be done just once a week..
this nifty cosmetic contains henna, water, olive oil, ceterayl alcohol, sodium lauryl sulfate, benzyl alcohol, ylang oil, jasmine, wheatgerm oil, jojoba oil, almond oil, Brazil nut oil, coconut oil, organic hemp oil, soya oil, Castor oil, methylparaben, propylparaben... phew that's a mouth full of words...

the over all smell that i got was a nice mild jasmine scent, which is another factor that i liked... cos strong smells and me just does not work and also this fragrance is so calm like feeling...

code of the product is 2687, it weighs about 220g... its packed in a very nice long black pot which has a sticker stating by whom it was made by and when it was made and
on the packing it says that you will need 1 full pot for long hair... and i have like very long hair, its up to my waist and i have used this pot already like 4 times and i think that i can use it 2 more times... you see it depends on how thick you hair is and how you apply it.. now the crucial part, how much it costs... well when i saw the price 1st i was like wow!!! so much but then i also always try a product at least once if i don't have a nice 1 already.... when i bought it the cost was 1450 RS and i have already mentioned how many time i can use it, so technically speaking it cost me 242RS every time i use it & if i have to get this done in a spa I'm thinking it would cost me about 500RS at least soooo my point is that its not that bad....
as i have mentioned it my previous blog you can get the product in any of the store locations at your place .... if you have already bought before and wanna buy another and don't need the necessity to go to shop and check it out then you can just mail order..
the store from which i bought is located in FORUM MALL........
i got it on 4/2/10.......
I'm really happy with the output result of my hair so I'll definitely be buying this again after my pot gets over....
for further info check out www.lushindia.com
for any help you can also contact them +91 99455 46610.... this is sooo not a toll free number guys...

I hope the info I gave was helpful... If I have missed out something plzzz let me know so that I don't do the same mistake again... I would really like your feed back, so just leave them in the comments section...
